West Baltimore TNR Project
November 2012 ReLove Animals, Inc. launched the West Baltimore TNR Project. To date (as of July 2013) we have processed over 350 cats and kittens with a collaborative effort with The Feline Rescue Association. Our small core team of volunteers have made quite an impact on West Baltimore and are still striving each day to change the statistics there!

The ReLove Pet Store Project
This is an exciting program we are developing that will help pet SELLING pet stores to transition over to a humane business model. We will help the store by acting as liaisons to a network of shelters and rescues. Our staff at ReLove is experienced, and can also help with PR, merchandising, advertising, business advisement and community outreach.
Our goal is to make this an easy and welcomed transition for the store that will improve their status with their community, enable them to increase their customer base by including those who before.. would only support humane businesses, find new avenues for revenue as well as networking.
We believe that most pet store puppies come from puppy mills (a statistic that has been proven so many times it's only disputed by the stores selling them) and the only way to end sales that contribute to the puppy mill industry is to make the general public aware of where those "small USDA breeder" puppies are REALLY coming from. Please see our resource page for links on this information and how you can get involved.
We are actively working in collaboration with HSUS to abolish puppy mills and educate pet stores!

Don't like it ~ Change It ~ Animal Legislation
Don't like it ~CHANGE IT~ Animal LegislationReLove takes an active part in influencing local animal welfare legislation. We work with Maryland Votes for Animals (Maryland's Animal Political Action Committee) to change things to make a better environment for our animals. This year we lobbied and testified for the MD Spay and Neuter Bill (passed) and the Dog Baiting Bill (passed).
Sometimes if you can't change people's minds...change the law! Please get involved with local animal legislation! You can start at the Maryland Votes for Animals Facebook page.
