EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT!
ReLove has been working with the Maryland SPCA since 2015 to provide a curriculum for educators which teaches humane education, accountability and responsibility to students in the Baltimore community. Serving thousands of children in the greater Baltimore area, we have experienced amazing growth and seen first-hand the positive impact in the lives of many pets and people in the community. As an organization and a community, we KNOW humane education is the way that we can realize the change that we need to see for animals and people.
The program has expanded to a point that our tiny management-based non-profit organization can no longer keep up with the demand, and as such, for it to continue to grow and thrive - it needs to be run by an organization with more manpower and resources. Reaching more than 11,000 students last year, the Maryland SPCA with its robust humane education department and commitment to our community for nearly 150 years was the natural choice for us to transfer ownership of the Education for Responsibility classroom program.
Please contact Katie Flory, the Director of Community Relations for the Maryland SPCA who leads their humane education department
about signing up for the 2018/19 as soon as possible. Katie can be contacted by phone at 410-235-8826 ext. 137

In 2014 ReLove Animals, Inc. launched an amazing educational project that is like no other. This is a program that is being taught by the teachers on a monthly basis. There are 8 lessons to take them through the school year. The lessons are fun, exciting and educational. Each lesson consists of a slide presentation, activities, video, props, challenges and retention testing. This is not one class at a time, this is all classes at one time- MASS education!
ReLove Animals, Inc. believes that Education for Responsibility (ERP) is the key to eradicating the problem of gross overpopulation in the shelters, abuse and neglect. In our experience, a larger than appropriate amount of animals come from underserved areas that are in need of education for basic animal welfare issues and resources.
ReLove's vision:
Since 2012 we have been giving basic animal welfare presentations in select schools, but it’s just not enough.
We can’t educate one class at a time and expect it to make a difference in our lifetime.
We must educate every class at one time.
We designed a program that is presented and taught by the teachers. It includes project partners giving the ability to have guest speakers from local rescues and shelters. The teacher leads an engaging conversation with slides, where the children answer the questions based on the pictures and slides they see. The children are challenged with projects like donation drives and getting involved in their own communities. It is interactive with videos, games and crafts that are add-ons to the base lessons. The pilot program focused on elementary school children.
In Fall of 2014 this project piloted in 3 city schools. In Fall of 2016, it will be rolled out to almost 150 classrooms and expanding beyond Maryland to several other States.
ERP is age appropriate, with eight part comprehensive course taught once a month, throughout the school year. An advisory board has been assembled consisting of school teachers, local shelters directors and other representatives from organizations as well as ReLove Animals, Inc. project manager and director.
We need donations to help us develop this program, so please consider donating to this monumental project that will change the foundation and future for animals!
Your donation is tax deductible as we are a IRS recognized 501c3. Paypal donations can be made by the link below, or send money via paypal to [email protected]. Checks can also be mailed to:
